Ashton's jelly experiment

This week I made jelly. I wanted to know what would happen if I put extra water in the jelly when I mixed it up. I also wanted to have jelly for pudding. Here's what I did!

First I wrote about my experiment:

Then I got to make the jelly. We had to read the instructions first. I put the jelly in the bowl and my mum helped me pour in 500mls of boiling hot water. We had to be very careful.

Next we poured some of the hot jelly mixture into a red container. Then we measured 100mls more water and mixed it into the red jug so we could see what happened when there was extra water in the jelly mixture.
We left the containers on the bench to cool down a bit then we put them in the fridge. Then we had to wait. And wait. And wait some more!

Finally the jelly was ready!
I had it for pudding with vanilla ice creM. Yum!

Then we looked at the other jelly with the extra water. We compared it to the jelly we made when we followed the instructions. Here is a video I made to tell you what we found out:

It was good fun making jelly, and eating it too!
