Ashton's Soccer Story
GGGGGGOOOOOOLLLLLLL!
On Saturday I went to Fraser Park to play soccer. When I got to soccer it was cold and muddy.
I played three games and got two goals off them.
I had fun. I can't wait until I get out there next week.

The Cafe Cat
Today we went to a cafe called The Chocolate Pretzel.
We got a surprise when we got there because the cafe has a cat!
Her name is Clover and she likes to sleep on the soft warm couch in the cafe during the day.
I had an enormous bowl of chips for my lunch!

Isabelle and I got really long chips so we measured who had the longest one! I was the winner!

She had very soft fur and liked it when I patted her.

Saturday Scootering
Today I went to scooter. It was fun when we scootered.
I went really fast! I loved when I went fast. I had a time of a life time. We had stops at the playground. It was fun to scooter and play on the playground.

Ashton's jelly experiment
This week I made jelly. I wanted to know what would happen if I put extra water in the jelly when I mixed it up. I also wanted to have jelly for pudding. Here's what I did!
First I wrote about my experiment:
Then I got to make the jelly. We had to read the instructions first. I put the jelly in the bowl and my mum helped me pour in 500mls of boiling hot water. We had to be very careful.
Next we poured some of the hot jelly mixture into a red container. Then we measured 100mls more water and mixed it into the red jug so we could see what happened when there was extra water in the jelly mixture.
We left the containers on the bench to cool down a bit then we put them in the fridge. Then we had to wait. And wait. And wait some more!
Finally the jelly was ready!
I had it for pudding with vanilla ice creM. Yum!
Then we looked at the other jelly with the extra water. We compared it to the jelly we made when we followed the instructions. Here is a video I made to tell you what we found out:
It was good fun making jelly, and eating it too!

Ashton in Pauanui
Tuesday 3rd June 2014
We went to Pauanui and I am here right now!
We travelled in our car. The car was a squish squash but I loved it because it was fun. I got to watch a movie on a screen in the backseat of the car. We watched High School Musical. It might of been a squash but I liked it.

I am writing this letter because I want Room Six to hear what I am up to.
There are awesome planes that we watch beside our house on an airstrip. The planes are noisy because they get so close. I feel excited when I see the planes take off. I wish I could go on one today but I have to be patient for my turn next Friday when I fly back to Wellington.
